Eye Makeup For Red Lips

Everyone knows how red lips can make one look mesmerizing. But do you wonder what exactly should you do with your eyes to match the lips, so as to not go overboard with the make up? Should your eyes be black all the way or should you follow a nude palette?

THE HOLLYWOOD GLAM LOOK:
The number one winner in red lip/eye combination is the Hollywood glam look. Take your make up cue from the divas that knew how to rock those red lips. Pair your smackers with black winged eyeliner to bring out the Hollywood star that lurks within. Add some curls to your hair and you are good to go.
THE PARTY LOOK:
Keeping it current, keeping it vibrant and keeping it cool, a splash of shimmer in either silver or dull gold provides the perfect balance for your red lips on a night out. Complete the look with dollops of mascara; a dash of eye pencil, skinny jeans, shiny top and it’s a night out on the town.

SMOKE IT UP:
Smokey eyes have been around since just about always. It’s like a default makeup button and everyone turns to it at some point of time. Smokey eyes do look good with red lips, but this is a slightly precarious look to pull off. Too much of black on your eyes and it could be a bit overwhelming. The trick here is to keep blending the shadow till it looks “smoked out”. You can also try brown smokey eyes as well as balance the black around the eyes by applying a neutral colour onto the base of the eyelid, thus providing a contrast and toning down the inherent blackness.
GO BARE:
And of course, the most obvious way to draw attention to your lips is to keep your eyes bare and neutral. This does not mean you walk around with nothing on your eyelids. Quite the contrary. You have to apply makeup to look like you have not applied any makeup at all. This means a neutral colour on the eyelid followed by mascara and perhaps a light dash of eye pencil to make your eyes a bit more naturally vibrant.
So what are you waiting for? Go ahead…. let your eyes and lips do the talking….
